Vanity Box are a rapidly upcoming indie rock band from Nottingham. With influences spanning through Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Foo Fighters, to the likes of Biffy Clyro amongst others, Vanity Box have formed a unique sound of their own, a sound which is catching on like wildfire! Armed with hard hitting vocals, paired with their addictive guitar hooks and energetic drum beats they are earning a reputation as one of the best unsigned bands across the whole of the East Midlands.
As with many bands that have trail blazed the indie music scene, it goes without saying that Vanity Box have come a long way since they first formed back in September 2009. The band began with their ambitious frontman, Tom Chambers, who at around the age of 14 would frequently watch recordings in awe of some of his favourite bands performing live at huge arenas. This sparked a dream of his own to go out, buy his first guitar, write songs and pursue his place on the arena stages, where his idols had once stood.
Tom had performed with many bands before finally deciding to form Vanity Box with his childhood friend Paul Robinson (drummer). They searched meticulously for other individuals that they knew would take the band to new heights.
After a few line up changes they found Chris Miggells, a virtuoso pianist with a remarkable knowledge of keyboards, synths and audio production. Darren Moulds found his place soon after as their lead guitarist, with a thirst for rock ‘n’ roll and extraordinary musical abilities. Finally Jack Baines was recruited as the member to complete the line-up, a fully-fledged, cutting edge bassist with a keen attitude for performing live music.
Fast forwarding to present day, the band have just stepped out of their very own studio having finished recording their debut album, aptly named ‘Chance Would Be A Fine Thing.’ They are now set to make some big waves in the near future. Following their very first official album launch party which was a near sell out main stage headline show hosted at the world renowned Rescue Rooms in Nottingham on the 9 th September 2017, Vanity Box are now on a UK tour.
“…big anthemic songs that have you involuntarily tapping your feet or more to them as they’re laden with big hooks and soaring choruses throughout.”
“…an accomplished live band that understand the value of the structure of a song and the likes of ‘Something On You’ and ‘These Are The Times’ are prime examples of how they can lift an audience up and take it with them.”
“Unpretentious, not trying to be something they’re not, it’s an impressive set”

“Vanity Box offer a platter of anthemic power chords, jangly guitars and rough ‘n’ ready vocals song after song, forming a trifle-like layering of musical goodness.”
– Exposed Magazine
“Go see Vanity Box! You can expect loud guitar laden rock with an attitude to match”
“VANITY BOX, a sexy bunch of guys whose lead singer had a husky, silky voice like chocolate. Clearly they had some fans in the crowd tonight all nodding their heads intently and who could blame them? They rocked!
